What am I missing here?

From Saturday Down South - "LSU’s sellout crowd was the third-largest home crowd in program history. Capacity: 102,321. Attendance: 102,321"

What two games drew a larger crowd? It couldn't have been before the expansion.

Must have been paid attendance, not actual. That was the first game it was even close to full, and I've been to all of them this year..

It had to have been the largest actual attendance.

I assumed it was as well. Could definitely tell the stadium was at more capacity than the State game.

Every game this season has been over 100K paid, but I think MSU was the only other one listed at 102,321. Not sure what others are larger, unless it's actual attendance pre-expansion.

Borne announced the attendance and said it tied the Tiger Stadium record. That was first set against State. SDS got confused somewhere along the way.

ETA: It seems we now do the same as Alabama. Sellout crowds are announced at the exact capacity. Since they expanded BDS, all of the sellouts are the same number ...101,XXX. Our old record exceeded the then capacity of Tiger Stadium . I guess they don't do that anymore?

Well, there's no doubt that the record will be broken on 11/8

This is right. All sellouts are now announced as 102,321 regardless of actual attendance. MSU and Ole Miss are the only sellouts so far this season.

It was probably right at 100k actual which is REALLY good for LSU.

I was pretty amazed at the amount of tickets for sale outside the stadium though.

So, as they say, it was the largest crowd to ever watch a football game in Louisiana. Glad I was part of it.

They're saving the attendance record for Bama.

The Bama 2014 game will likely hold the attendance record until 2016 Bama, etc.
