-3rd on the team in tackles with 52total tackles.

- 4.0 TFL, 1.5sacks, 1 INT which went for a TD, 3 Pass Break Ups, 4 passes defended, 2 QB Hurries, and 1 fumble recovery

All of that, with just 3 starts. And its not like he played a lot early on... In the first few games he was lucky to see 2 series out there. By the 5th/6th game, his PT gradually increased, and was the starter vs UF and has been ever since.

This kid is a stud. Hes a diff type of LB that we have had in the past... Hes a legit 6'2-6'3 and 245-250lbs with athleticism and big time power. We are used to seeing smaller, lighter guys with great speed. Well, Beckwith is a monster with great speed and athleticism and is actually pretty solid in pass coverage despite being so big.

Hes arguably been the biggest difference maker on the entire team. Remember the problems we had on D early on... weak in the middle, weak DTs, Welter was horrible, etc. Now, after making Beckwith the starter, we see that our DTs are not that bad. They do a decent job at getting penetration and taking on blocks, which allows Beckwith and Kwon to stay free and make plays. And Beckwith has become 1 of our best players in a matter of 3 weeks. Hes a stud and has big time NFL potential.

And he gets better and better each week. He was all over the field vs Ole Miss and had 1 of the biggest plays of the game IMO. It was 3rd and 2 with 2:05 left in the game. Ole Miss ran the ball off tackle and it looked like the RB had a seam and would pick up the 1st. But Beckwith had some great closing speed and hit the RB right before he got to the 1st... and when he hit him the RB fell like a bag of bricks starting to the ground, which stopped his from getting forward and getting the 1st. If the RB falls forward he gets the 1st. But he didnt. After that, it was 4th and inches and Ole Miss went for it and we stuffed Bo Wallace for a loss.

LINK Play is at the 3:30 mark.

I cant remember the last time changing 1 person on D has made this big of an impact. Beckwith is a grown man out there and has a chance to be a great LB for us and a big time NFL LBer. Oh and he does just fine lining up the other players before the snap

Oh and hes just a sophomore but looks like a grown arse man

Great hit but Hunter definitely deserves credit there as well

Great play and a critical stop.

Oh I agree... but if Beckwith doesnt get there when he did and hit him like he did, the RB could have picked up the 1st. And could have shaken Hunter off... he had him by the shoe. But still both guys made a great play right there.

Special teams and maybe 3 plays... That's it.

Senior or not... Beckwith is too good and Welter is too bad to see significant snaps.

the RB had 7 yards to build up speed, and his forward momentum was completely stopped by a hit from the side. he didnt gain another inch. im not sure Ive ever seen that before.

One of the best hits I've seen in years. I came out of my shoes yelling so loud.

My favorite play of the game. I just knew the RB was going to get the first then Beckwith comes out of nowhere and BOOM. Absolute animal out there

He had three of four plays like that where he hit someone so hard it should be illegal.

He could actually be better which is ridiculous when you think about it. Minter from 2011-2012, was a completely different LB. Beckwith is bigger and faster, and has required less time to make a real difference. He'll finish this season with over 90 tackles and could possibly hit 100.

He's a great player and has made a huge impact out there. Just imagine how much further along he could be had the coaches not moved him to defensive end last year and kept him in the linebacking corps. He missed out on a season's worth of film study and practice reps at the LB position. He's got a bright future for sure.
