Strong went in and cleaned house.

Saban did the same thing at Michigan St.. MSU had discipline problems and he made life difficult for the rule breakers.

I met someone who was on that team. He got there after Saban arrived. He said he had no problem with Saban. It was the older players who got away with breaking rules under the previous coach that hated Saban.

Strong seems to be doing the same thing at UT.

Strong's biggest problem with Texas recruits is the elite players want to play in the SEC and not the Big 12. He's going to have to build his team with mostly players the SEC doesn't recruit.

UT's been mid-implosion for like 2 years now.

Maybe so, but I think the mess you see is simply, Charlie strong just stepping over all of the destruction laid before him.

Sure it's messy now, but hopefully it remins that way. It's best to go up against a good ATM team instead of ut and ATM in recruiting.

Yeah, because Mack Brown left Strong a ton of talent and a program on the incline. Texas had not been underperforming for the past 4 seasons. It just started this season.

You're a genius.

If only Strong could be as good a coach as Petrino because he is coaching up the players well at Louisville as Strong didn't leave him a wealth of talented, disciplined players in the cubbard.

Is this Gee guy the same one who made an issue of Sumlin and Strong being in the top of coaching salaries, claiming they had not proven anything? If so, he is agenda driven and facts be damn.

Winning a few games at Louisville is a far far cry from competing on all levels at TX. He may do great there, if he lasts. How can you not have some success at TX?
It's his show there now and he is doing a poor job at coaching. You blaming the prior coach is hilarious. But if Strong was doing well, it would be because you got rid of Mack?
Do yourself a favor. Take the average rating of TX recruits and compare them to a school who has wiped the field with TX this year. Then come back here and explain why strong is getting plowed by schools with lower rated recruiting classes. It screams bad coaching to me.

Peace homer

Sir, you have an agenda. How would you rate Ark, Tenn, Louisville coaches? Are they bad coaches as well?

BULL shite! Most times the schools with the top recruiting classes are the top schools in rankings. The ones who aren't, the coach is "strongly" on the hot seat.

And look at TX best years, they were loaded with recruits.

Look at the recruiting classes ranked the last ten years and look at the top 10 ranked teams at the end of the season....I'll wait..

Now the question is, why is TX one of the teams who consistantly has good classes but now all of a sudden can't win a game? They are one of the only ones, btw...

You do know Texas did not have one player drafted last year. And where do you come up with the "all of a sudden can't win a game". You do know Brown was fired because of losing right? Because the program was headed in the wrong direction, right? You do know a college football program is more like a cruise ship than a speed boat, right? Turning around a program takes more that 7-8 games.

Anyone making a conclusion about Strong at this point is already predisposed in their opinion, which obviously you are. So anything you say on the matter should be discounted accordingly. In other words, STFU!

I am sure Gerald is happy his brother steered to that dumpster fire in Gainesville.
