Looking for quality, inexpensive tire repair

Ran over a good sized nail yesterday. Tried patching up the hole using a Slime patch kit, but still had some air leaking. Any suggestions for a trustworthy and inexpensive place to repair around LSU?

Not sure if there is a Discount Tire near you. They batched mine for free and did it quickly.

A tire patch is about $10 at most places, were you looking for cheaper than that?

I've used the tire plugs and fix-a-flat(both from walmart) quite a few times in recent years. Together, they work wonders if you're poor like me.

Only thing I could find was Allied Discount Tire. That them?

I just do it myself. Use one of the string plug types. If its so big that one wont do it you can put two in. If it is still leaking after that you probably just need to get a new tire.

Discount Tire is the best.

Goodyear auto service center on Lee Drive at Highland will do it for free.

The Goodyear on Lee is pretty good... I used to go there for small stuff like that.
Pretty affordable.

VERY. I'm poor as a result of some fricked up life decisions over the past decade or so.
Hell two decades.
I loved Discount Tire in Plano when I lived there.

McDonald's Tire Care on the corner of Sharp and Florida is the cheapest, but you'd probably spend the $5 savings in gas getting there

There's one in Baker. VERY good prices on new tires(I get cheaper brands) and very fast too.

They fixed mine for free last time i had a nail, so I'd say they're pretty cheap

Don't use fix a flat, its for poor people and will also ruin your tire.

Agree, get a good plugging kit at NAPA, and some good plugs and glue, keep it in your trunk with some good pliers and Fix-A-Flat.
Works great for normal road stuff, like nails and screws, you don't even have to take the tire off.
