I haven't had a chance to watch Bama play this year (I don't really enjoy their games anyway). How does bama stack up in comparison to the teams we have already played?
Are they as explosive as Auburn? Is there defense as good as Ole Miss?

I am feeling like we have a 50/50 shot of taking them out at Tiger Stadium but I don't have a lot of info on how we match up.

Their D is better than OM statistically

I still don't understand why Amari Cooper goes off almost every game and 50% of the time it's off of screens... LSU has the speed on the outside and fast DB's so hopefully we will lock him down.

I am a little worried about the the passing game from them. I know it is a strength of our team but we've had some blown coverages that still make my backside pucker anytime the opposing QB launches a bomb...

OM has better Pass defense and scoring defense.

Bama has better rush defense and total defense.

Bama's offense is pretty overrated especially when on the road. Their running game is nothing like it has been in years past and their passing game relies mostly on easy bubble screens and quick passes. If we can shut those down and keep Blake Sims from making big plays with his legs we can win this game.

Team Pts/G
Mississippi 10.5
Alabama 14.0

Now, Bama is better in total yards allowed and rushing yards allowed. Ole Miss is better in pass yards allowed.

Bamas defensive weakness is with balanced offenses that can make plays in their secondary. The issue will be theey do have the ability to load up and stop the run. Jennings will have to be able to make plays for us to win. Offensively the mobile QB aspect concerns me. They will be able to move the ball running and screens along with cooper deep. We will need to get 20 points I believe to win. We are much improved, but they seem to be improving as well. They are one of the few teams that have the depth and physicality to play our brand of football with us. I would imagine they are a slight favorite but I do like our chances with a young QB and it being a night game in Tiger Stadium. Should be electric once again and it definitely makes a difference. Bo knows.

Their best bet vs. LSU would be to go back to a power running scheme. I think we match-up well vs. their passing game.

if we play defense like we have the last 2 games, we should be able to contain the run game to an extent. they'll be looking to do the same. their passing game is much more reliable than ours, we may need to go back to 2010 and draw up a couple of tricks (deangelo peterson..here comes the left side!) their special teams have been garbage (saban's kryptonite) so maybe we can create an edge there. should be a good one.

Signed Ole Miss gameplan as well

Their traitor LT is doubtful for this game and they have had trouble getting to the edge in their run game against quality teams. The only threat in the pass game is Cooper. If we can scheme to shut down the bubble screens, lsu wins. Bama's great physical defense just surrendered 185 rush yards to Tennessee.

Bama hasn't come across an offensive line like LSU's yet.

Boy I hope u are right. If Lsu plays bama like O'Piss we win. If not we lose by 14 points.

Against Bama, we won't have the luxury of not capitalizing when we are in the red zone. If we turn the ball over inside the red zone against
Bama, I think we'll lose this game. When we make it to the red zone, especially if we are inside the 10 yard line, we need to score TDs.

The first team to 20 wins this game. If LSU's offense of line plays well LSU wins, if not Bama wins. It's really that simple

9th in the country in total offense. They did struggle in their first couple of road games, though one was against the Ole Miss defense. They turned it around last week though. As for the running game, they're still averaging 218 a game on the ground. For comparison, LSU averages 225.

I have a feeling that we will win the turn over battle this time with a pick six and another key interception. LSU 24 BAMA 13

one thing i've learned about this series as of late...throw stats out the window. These boys will be in a dog fight.

Of course it will. I just wasn't sure how accurate his statements were and I don't think stats can "overrate."
