As noted, if you buy today, your estimated delivery date is 1/5. Not sure if that is a deterrent as you were considering buying one today.

Yea, OP said it was 2 max per person now it's 1 max. I just bought one and it said my delivery date will be Jan 5. (I probably wont even use it )

As usual, no list of supported devices for the fling ability. Wouldn't upgrade/downgrade Chromecast until one is released.

Well, we can very safely assume that iOS is not currently supported, as the app remote is only supported in the Fire line + android phones. They claim iOS app support is coming soon. That's a big enough knock for a fair number of the ship before even considering the fling/mirror situation.

Ordered mine yesterday morning, shows delivery estimate of December 3rd... why so late for others?

Mine say November 19th. January no good for the gift givers. Must be a ton of orders.

It's coming by "year's end". I posted a link to an article earlier in the thread. They have a content deal with HBO so I'm sure the only thing holding it back is programming the app, not any legal issues or deals needing to be made.

Same thing with the xbox one. We've been told that we're getting HBO for a while no, but nothing.
Just plugged the chromecast in the back of it

Is the deal over? I'm a prime member and I don't see where the $19 option is. When I put it in my cart it says $39.

It was only for 2 days, I think it is over.

Gay. Didn't need it, but I figured I'd get one for the price.

I bought one of these but honestly not 100% sure what I bought it for....
Question:
If I'm running WatchESPN app on my laptop or ipad can I throw that up on the big TV with this device? How does it connect to the laptop/ipad?
thanks...

From what I understand, it won't have that kind of integration into multiple apps. For instance, you can switch to the chromecast from within apps on your phone, but I don't think you will have that option unless perhaps you are using an amazon device.
Alternatively, if the app on your device allows for streaming content onto that device, i.e. watchESPN through the fire stick app, then you probably would be able to "throw that up on the big TV" with minimal effort.
