Anyone think that looked like the same situation from our win versus auburn in 2007 on the D. Byrd catch with 1 second left? Obviously didn't work out for hugh freeze and ole miss. Can't out madhat the real madhatter les miles.

LSU had more time on the clock, was in better position, and had a timeout.

It was a better call in that regard. Probably stupider call in that a FG would have won that game when tonight a FG would have only tied.

We were on the 22, at home. Ole Miss was on 25 on the road. The ball was snapped with 9 seconds left in both cases.

Tonight, we intercepted the ball and had to run 2 seconds off the clock.

I think Crowton and Miles' decision from Auburn 2007 is vindicated by tonight. Clearly, we would have had 2 seconds left to try a field goal - had the pass been incomplete.

There is always a risk of interception with a pass, BTW.

This game reminded me of the LSU-Alabama game in 2012 except for the final play.
