I was at the southwest portal.
The event staff woman was trying to prevent more people from going on the field by holding the gate shut while another event staff was helping people over the new iron fence.
It was stupid to try to prevent.
Rasco gave me his Nike glove.

And, the fans on the field will make that atmosphere something that those recruits will never forget.
Hopefully the fans won't forget it either and keep staying the entire game.
I am one of the "act like you've been there" crowd, but I don't mind it for some reason.
I think the fans were just disoriented. They stayed so long they excited the wrong way.

Considering the circumstances and the bad losses earlier this season...I'm glad the team got to enjoy this win in such a special manner

It was a great win for a team that seemed to be floundering earlier in the year.
The product on the field is MUCH better now and it shows.
The way they mixed things up in the first quarter was excellent strategy.
I am ecstatic to see the team going in the right direction.

I remember rushing the field in '97 after the UF game & it's probably the most fun I've ever had in my life.
This
Still have a zip lock bag with the Tiger Stadium grass/dirt in it. Shoved it in my pocket that night and it was somehow still there when I made it back to my apartment. Placed in zip lock that morning and have held on to it ever since.

Apparently. There have been hundreds of threads recently about the horrible state of the program, calls for the firing of just about every coach at some point, though mainly just coach Miles, and how LSU may not win another game this year.
So, only minutes after a victory in which the defense played like the LSU defenses of old and where the 'boring' offense shoved the ball down their throat for the winning drive, the actions of exuberant college students (mainly) are the only things some can focus on.
I would imagine that this outpouring of support was not scorned by the players as it is by these 'powerhouse program' etiquette police that are spewing verbal bovine feces on here tonight

Yuck. Powerhouse programs shouldn't rush the field.
I wish I had a cup full of Ebola diarrhea to throw on you.

SAme folks that complain that we leave early. Just what would make you happy?
Nothing. These little shits aren't LSU fans.

All the pussies complaining about the embarrassment of fans rushing the field after this big win clearly were not at the game.
Y'all can GFY. Did you rush to the bathroom to piss after the clock struck zero?? Because that's the best you can do from your LaZ Boy.
Never felt like this in Tiger Stadium since UF 07...

I agree, but if you look at those pictures, it's obvious it was mainly just students. Most non student fans just watched the students rush.

Wow. Get the frick over yourself. If you can't get behind fans showing their appreciation for a young team winning a huge game, then you have a major sense of self worth that is unwarranted.

Efff that. I watched the game in Boulder City, NV with 2 friends. After the win, we drove out to Hoover Dam and rushed out onto it.
ETA: thanks to OP for the pics.

Real fans go to the games instead of complaining online
this may be the dumbest statement of the night. That's how you define a "real fan"
