Why isn't Nebraska in the playoff discussion

Only loss is to a good Michigan State team by 5 on the road
Looked like every part of a playoff contender in their season opening 55-7 win over Florida Atlantic
Beat McNeese State who is ranked #10 in FCS
Went on the road and blew out the defending MWC champs, a very very good Fresno State team
Beat Miami, who is one of the better ACC teams and always has good talent
Dominated an improved Illinois team at home
Went on the road and beat a resurgent Northwestern team by 21 points
This team belongs in the discussion

Because they are a decent team that hasn't beaten any good teams yet. They've beaten some average teams

If Michigan State hadn't lost to Oregon by 20 points!
This might mean something...
An Oregon team that is no world beater this year and can't stop most teams on D...except Michigan State.
