I'm confused.. You want the plasma to watch sports on right?
Eta what I'm saying is you won't be happy with the led for sports after being so used to the fluidity of the plasma.

The plasma makes the room extremely hot and I would like to have a smart TV for the living room. I can't notice much different when watching my current bedroom LCD and living room Plasma when it comes to sports. I'm just saying that is what I would mainly use it for. Any negatives to Panosonic LEDs?

In all my years of having a plasma in my small college rooms, I've never complained about being hot.
I've always loved plasmas. The smoothness is unmatched

Panasonic's "smart" offerings really aren't that great unless you just want to watch Netflix. I would just get a Roku for whatever TV you get.
I greatly prefer plasma, but this one doesn't look bad for a cheap set even if Panny isn't really known for their led offerings.
