It's probably going to be different from the one shown at Comic Con this past summer.
Also...the final battle in The Hobbit is reportedly 45 minutes long.

Not even batman vs superman trailer could get me to see this film.

No kidding. I mean I'm always up for epic battle scenes and all, but 45 min.? That may either be the best thing ever, or way too much.

Not that I needed another reason to see the final Hobbit movie 3 times in the theater, but both facts provided in the OP are awesome. I can't wait for a 45 minute long battle of the five armies! I could watch Hobbits mill about the Shire for hours, so even at 45 minutes, that battle will be too short.

I might actually see this now that the this trailer and the Jurassic World trailer are both being shown with The Hobbit

Nice. I enjoyed the first chapter, but was concerned about the excessively long, prolonged, fakish, cartoony looking underground battle. Skipped the second one and can now skip the third.
When CGI replaces storytelling with even a cat like Jackson? It's over. Hollywood's done.

Ugh, the battle of the 5 armies pales in comparison to the size of the battle of Pelanor fields and Jackson ruined that battle.

That's your opinion and one I strongly disagree with. There are some aspects of the movies which are fantastic and they are some of my favorite movies, but they aren't as far from the hobbit movies as some people think.

I'm not a big fan of prequels. That's probably what I hate most about The Hobbit movies. I thought the second one was pretty good, but the ending pissed me off beyond belief. I'm hoping the final chapter will close everything out well.

I think the final hobbit movie has the potential to be great. And the Hobbit movies we've seen so far have been good, but they could have been so much better. There have been aspects to both which have been insulting. The water barrel scene in the second one was insulting. Like it made me actively dislike the movie when there were other parts of it (Smaug) that I loved. And there's stuff like that throughout the movies.

Jackson has been doing that shite since King Kong. You could easily cut out the horribly done dino stampede (it was an awful matting job even back then) and the (admittedly sweet but ultimately useless) playing on the ice scene near the end to make a better movie.
I agree that the CG in the underground battle was awful. In fact, pretty much everything underground that didn't involve Bilbo and Gollum was straight crap.

What? Do they think they're transformers or something?

It has to be. If Jackson is going to split up such a small book into 9 hours worth of film he has to make the only battle in the book big, especially since it's the title of the 3rd film.
With that said. I doubt it'll be 45 minutes of just non-stop action. I'm sure they'll cut to other stuff. I mean, how long was the battle in the 3rd movie actually going on? A while a bet, but they were able to cut to what was going on with Frodo and Aragorn so the action didn't seem needlessly endless.
However, all the characters in the book where at the battle. So I guess the cut away shots will have to be about Legolas chasing after that Orc, you know.. the subplot that Jackson completely made up.

My immediate fan edit - after watching the film was - they should have Game of Throned it - have a fairly close cut of the battle starting, then cut to Bilbo and Gollum - one of the classic scenes in fantasy literature brought to life. Then, maybe have really quick cuts to the battle at the individual level - never more than 2 or 3 characters at a time - then finally have Bilbo walk out and see the dwarves all fricked up and ask - "What happened to you guys?"
