Big problem might not have been the media circus--it would have been the quarterback controversy. As ugly as it looked, he found a way to win and winning is what matters.

That's why the Broncos signed Peyton--if your alternative is a decent but not elite quarterback, the fans will be screaming for Tebow every time he throws a pick. Too much of a headache.

I would still love to see him in black and gold. The Steelers have a terrible red zone offense and Tebow could help with that. Just line him up right next to Ben and the defense has no idea what's coming.

I think he could have been a decent TE if he had made the switch.

By no means am I saying he should still be in the NFL today or he should have been a starting NFL QB...

but I still think the biggest reason he was gone from the NFL so quickly and the reason no NFL team wanted him is because he brought so much unwanted media attention to whatever team he was on. Basically, wherever he went, a media frenzy and "QB controversy" was going to ensue, even if the starting QB was doing a decent job and even if Tebow didn't deserve to play.

That is really a major distraction to any locker room.

he could have played FB for sure. I dont think he was big enough or athletic enough to be a TE. He's a stiff athlete, not fluid enough. And probably cant catch.

If Tebow wasnt as open about his religious faith, he would still in the NFL.

Period.

Hell, even Troy Smith survived for the longest time in the league and he didn't do shite.

Because there are a ton of black dudes that are bigger and faster at RB and there are a ton of white guys taller and with a better vert at TE.

What makes you think he would be a better FB than guys like JC Copeland or a Connor Neighbors? There are dozens of college FBs that right now would be better than Tebow would be at fullback IMO.

Partly agree. But that wouldn't be an issue in Green Bay, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, etc.

New England didn't really need him because Brady could look for Gronk in the red zone. Otherwise they could have used him the same way I suggested the Steelers use him.

Cause he's an idiot. College hype and acomplishments ruined his thought process. I think dude could have had unbelievable production as a "football player".

In college he was a bigger stronger faster QB but in the NFL he would have been a smaller weaker target that every guy on defense would tee off on given the chance.

This. X100.

Why in the world would he want to be a border-line practice squad guy getting concused every other week when he can sit in a chair, talk about football and make bank?
