Forced turnovers, that is!
They were 25th in the league last season. This team is working hard on the defensive end. ROCKETS STAAACKED. NBA FUUUUCKED.

You're going to attract all kinds of hate in this thread, but I do like the way our starters have played. I'm really liking Ariza in this lineup.

Ariza plays good D

I know the haters are coming, but preseason or not, this team looks completely different. Ariza is playing like a second Beverley. So damn scrappy. I never noticed Parsons on defense. Not the case with Ariza.

Parsons is a better scorer and passer for sure. Ariza is a better fit.

Well they got + turnover by trading Lin (and terrible defender) and Ariza is a defensive improvement from Parsons.
I think the depth will be the biggest issue, especially in the front court. Losing Asik will be a bigger blow than many think.
Eta: but I think the team will be better this year if they stay healthy

I've always liked his defense and that's never been his problem. His shooting sometimes well...
By the way how has beverley looked?
Also how's the PF spot looking?

And they are gay, amirite

I hated to lose Asik, but he spent the majority of the season upset and/or injured. We got nothing from his last year except for a couple of playoff games.

That too

Exactly. Yes when you look at the surface losing a talent like Asik sucks. Truth is though that he was injured most the season last year and when he did play he was to upset being a bench player to contribute like he could. Rockets will be fine without him.
Pelicans got a good compliment to Davis though.

Yup. It's going to be funny with the Pels fans are rubbing Asik in our faces, even though there was nothing we could do. He didn't want to be here.
