Never make bets that rely on trusting Pac-12 (or Big 12) defenses.

We can beat Stanford. Utah is scary. Although we get another tackle back that started against MSU.

Games like these just don't do it for me. Give me a hard fought 21-17 game any day over this stuff.

I actually hate them as well. I would rather have 35 to 31 though.

Oregon's D isn't that good...but Cal has really turned the corner...they are pretty good.
And playing week in and week out with such different offensive approaches in the Pac is difficult. With a great group of offensive coaches.
I said before this Pac season...this would be the most crazy, diverse, competitive and interesting Pac season of all-time...and that no Pac team would make the playoff...because anybody can beat anybody (except Colorado).

This is the same Oregon team that waxed Michigan State #5 in the coaches poll - still.
(Ahead of the team that beat them)
It's all perception and the perception is always biased and slanted and week by week often wrong...everyone forgets...somehow Oregon can stop Michigan State on D and they're great but they can't stop Cal and Oregon is now bad to watch because they are playing a Pac team that can move the ball.
Maybe Pac offenses are more sophisticated and diverse?
Gee, genius idea and instant revelation?
I wonder if the committee will understand and take into account offensive minds and judge conferences accordingly instead of just looking at scores.

Or maybe teams improve throughout the year.
Craaaaaazy idea, I know.

Oregon's defense is not bad. In fact, they held UW to a season low last week. Cal ran 92 plays to hit their season average of 41 points. The thing about Oregon is the team is really young.
