People like you (and apparently so many others) are why I loathe Halloween. It's a time when strangers feel like they get to judge and comment on your children or your parenting.
As many of you know, my son has a physical and developmental disabiltiy. We stopped trick or treating years ago. Before we got his diagnosis, we didn't know why he couldn't walk very far. We just knew that he couldn't. He'd make it half way around a block and need to be carried. It was fine when he was little, but as he grew, not only did it become more difficult for me, people always had to comment on it. "You should be walking." "You're too big to be carried." "You have to say trick or treat or no candy for you." I wanted to take my kids for a fun evening. I didn't want to have to walk around explaining my son's limitations all night. And now we don't go. Because it breaks my heart.
How about you just give out candy and save the judgment for another day. You don't know by looking at someone what their life is like. Or do kids a favor and just turn. Your light out. Don't be an a-hole.

quote:Boy aren't you cool as frick!!!
2 bowls:
-1 filled with good candy for the neighborhood kids, dressed in costumes
-The other filled with dollar store candy for the 13 year olds that you know don't live in your neighborhood, got a lil fake blood smeared on a white T, carrying a wal marks bag and just got out a 1995 corolla, 8 deep.
who else does it? don't lie
What's sad is you are probably ignorant enough to think this makes you look cool and started this thread even though you don't have "two bowls"

The people on their high horse in this thread obviously don't live in a neighborhood that gets overrun on Halloween.

shite like this boils my blood, SS. I don't have one good memory from Halloween with my kids. And it truly is the most depressing day of the year for me because the bad memories come up and I'm reminded every year of things my kid can't ever and won't ever have. It makes me mad to think someone is actually proud of fricking over kids.

I live way out in the country and a truckload of country black children came up to my door and I gave them good stuff.
Their uncle has some great rabbit dogs and I told him to bring the kids out my way. Had a bonfire and a party. To all of you that think I'm racist...ha.
I'm not racist against country black people with good hunting dogs.

BS
I have kids from all over my town here. Streets are packed so much so that you can't get down them with a car. The only thing that separates me from any of you is the fact that I don't care about where a child is from but the fact that it is a child. That's just shitty to give to one and not another.

Did anyone bring up being mean to kids with issues? I'm just asking.

Bitch please . Your son & my OP have ZERO to do with other. Just cause you're pissed off at your a-hole neighbors doesn't mean I'm one if them. I'm not turning my light out. I'll sit at my front door, handing out candy to EVERYONE. EVERYONE. But the leaches, they get the shite candy. Sorry. Wtf this has to do with u is beyond me

No. They do have something to do with one another. You're judging kids by looking at them. You think those kids are leeches? You think they make the decisions? You're just a jerk who apparently enjoys being judgmental to children. Big man.
