What is the story with this guy? LSU needs defensive tackles badly. Alabama is filled with DTs. How has LSU missed on the best DT in the state when it is such a position of need?

Not a good fit. More of a 3-4 NT I believe.

And Godchaux as a 260 lb DT is a good fit? There has to be more to it than that.

Yet is committed to Alabama. That makes zero sense.

I don't think LSU missed on him, more like chose not to pursue him...

Yeah it doesn't. He isn't the best DT in the country or anything, but he is very solid.

He used to play at Calvary Baptist (which is when he got all his D1 offers) where Shea Patterson plays where he was also coached by Chase Pittman (LSU star DT) but doesn't handle authority well at all and kept getting in trouble liked to do his own thing and extremely lazy. He's a self centered player...at Calvary he was rated as a top 10 DT and then transfered to Woodlawn and became average. I believe if he had the discipline and would have stayed at Calvary with Pittman he could be top 3 in the nation.

He is not a eye catching player with play on the field but is size wise 6'3-320, I saw him play against Haughton and was not Impressed granted it was just one game. The reason he blew up was because he had an ok sophomore year at Calvery but his size is what had people oh/ah he was about 6'2-290 then. Could end up being a good player but I guess LSU did not like what they saw at camp.

Thinking back to the Pittmans reminds me when Chase's older brother Cole chose UT over LSU, that was when Texas was the hot school nationally, it seemed like Mack could get any kid he wanted in the Nation. Now look at Texas. Goes to show how quickly it all can change.

1.Alabama offered him after he left CBA.

2.When has T.D ever been in trouble?

3. His rankings dropped because he didn't play last season.

4. Why call out a HS kid for being lazy?

5. Are you saying that the Woodlawn coaches are incapable instilling discipline? That staff is full of former college players.
