Police searching for couple trying to sell child at gas station

The 911 call came in around 9:25 a.m. A woman stated while she was at the gas station, there was a dark colored van with Florida license plates. The van was occupied by a male and two females.
The older female is described as an Hispanic woman wearing a red shirt, black skirt and appeared to be pregnant. Witnesses say she was going from vehicle to vehicle asking people if they wanted to buy the younger female, who appeared to be 10 years old.
The witness informed the manager and the manager stated they were previously asking for gas money.
There is no description of the man.
The van is suspected to be a 2005 dark blue Dodge van with license plate BSXR89.
If you have seen the couple or know where they may be, you are urged to call 911 immediately.

Damn, RaceTrac is the shite. Not only can I get cheap gas, but I can choose from 50 flavors of coffee, grab a Krispy Kreme doughnot, and a 10 year old.

Yeah I can't even comprehend that market. I assume it's all for illegal activities, but sounds like these people were trying to sell their kid to random average Joe's.

What do you do in this situation?
Do you try and "buy" the child to stall them or get the child out of harm's way...then hope you have enough info to get the cops on them?
What if it was a sting and the cops think you were actually trying to buy the child?

I could see it now.
"Suspect handed undercover officers money in exchange for the child and proceeded to point a pistol at the officer and make verbal threats of lethal violence. Officer unholstered his firearm and discharged 18 rounds, striking the suspect 2 times and his dog 15 times."
