I really WOULD be curious to hear some of his stories about what it was like to be in prison as a star athlete and what he went through
I guess I can understand that to some degree. I've never been to prison and, yea, that world holds some curiosity for us all. Just listening to his recollections of one of the most famous games in LSU football history has more appeal to me though.
The man was broken and if you hear him speak on the matter of his crime he genuinely appears to be remorseful.
IMHO we should celebrate Billy as one of our own who made a mistake, paid the price and redeemed himself.

I am not perfect…but I can promise you that I did not run a $6million dollar counterfeiting ring.

Coach Dietzel was quoted several times over the yrs as saying that what always stood out, to him, on Cannon's punt return was that the nite was off the charts hot & humid. He said all the starters on the sidelines were running on fumes by that stage in the game, and yet Cannon had the strength/guts to run the punt back and then, to get back on the field for O.Miss' last minute drive where it had first & goal inside the 5. Cannon was in on 3 of the 4 tackles to save the game. Warren Rabb, QB, and Johnnie Robinson, RB, were also in on the tackles. My first game in TS.
