Wes Welker is basically their #4 guy.

Wes Welker.. That's when you know you are stacked

You do realize that going into last week we were #2 in passing, top 15 in rushing and #2 in total offense and put up 400+ yards on the #1 defense in the league on the road?

I haven't been impressed with the Saints redzone offense for probably 3 season now

Meanwhile, I heard on the broadcast in maybe the 2nd quarter Denver had 54 consecutive scores in the redzone.

Denver also has the 5th ranked D. They are playing clean, have tons of talent, and are balanced in all phases.

Is this part of the Saints issues? I've only been able to watch a couple games this year, but what's the deal?

Is Cooks being used at all?

Is Payton trying to run the ball and it's not working due to Oline? Are they not really trying to run and abandoning it too quick?

What's with the defense? Is it missed tackles? Bad playcalling? A regression from the players? All of the above?

It's frustrating seeing that they've blown another lead to lose and being unable to watch to know what's happening

He's 18th in receptions despite us already having our bye week.

He's 5th in catch %

We run great. It is our biggest strength but we like to go 5 wide on 1st down after a 12 yard run letting the D pin their ears back and rush drew

How do you know you're stacked? You drafted a 1st round caliber WR in the 2nd round, and he doesn't even play. He'll get his PT next year when they let welker walk.

But how's he being used though? I don't care how many catches he gets. Is it a lot of screens? Are they attempting to use him downfield at all? I can only go off the stats I see and nothing ever jumps off the page to me. He looked great against Atlanta and I've barely heard him mentioned since

Gotcha. So it's just a case of Payton gonna Payton then.

Peyton Manning works tirelessly with his WRs all off season.

Brees has a baby in the offseason. Focus isnt there.

in my opinion

we don't have one skill player as good as demaryius Thomas. We don't have one wide receiver as good as Emmanuelle sanders. Their offensive line is awesome, ours not so much.

brees is showing his age, peyton is not

it's pretty simple.

Exactly,
D. Thomas >>> M. Colston
J. Thomas <= J. Graham
E. Sanders >= B. Cooks

I know they're not even the same kind of WR, but
I think Welker < Stills.

The biggest importance is
Denver's OL >>> Saints' OL

I'm not even jealous. The Broncos offense with manning running it is a beauty to behold. I root for dogs, so I'll never want them to win, but you just have to at their performance...even more impressive is that I could be the OC of that team and it wouldn't matter. Manning runs the offense completely

as great as manning is though, DT88 will never get the praise he deserves...his first 2 years he played with shite at qb and put up numbers like you'd expect a talented wideout to do in his first 2 seasons, but anyone who watched the games could see how fricking incredible he was...manning has made him better. I know broadcasting booths are going to toss money at manning when he leaves, but it will be a waste if he's not an offensive coordinator from day 1 of retirement

Biggest difference is scheme, IMO. Both teams run the same types of plays; however, the Saints run the same plays week in & week out.

Where as, Denver will run a smoke screen one week; then run the exact same play the next week but have the blocker fake a block and run a pass route for a wide open play. Same thing happens with their slants, out patters, and even deep routes. They give one look one week, then change little nuances the next couple of weeks. The Saints are too stubborn and say, we are one of the best offenses; therefore, we can run our same plays and still beat the other team.

Say what you want about the rankings, but anyone can see the differences in how our offense has been the last few seasons to where it once was. We were once such a well oiled machine it was a beauty to watch, it used to be almost shocking to see us punt. The numbers may be there but the efficiency is not.

Couldn't agree more and I've been saying this since 2012.

I would note at times in the 2010 season this held true as well (cardinals, browns, Vikings, and a few other games)

And there's no single root cause. They've let almost all of their talented OL walk, the WR corps is and has been aging for years, Sean's playcalling has become stagnant and telegraphed by formations, and Brees is throwing far too many INTs.

They have a good offensive line, and great WRs.

OLine helps, but I heard on the radio the other day most of the Broncos passing plays are completed in less than like 2 seconds. It's pretty much snap, throw. I don't see how we don't use something like that more especially with Cooks
