On a serious note, exactly why I am quitting. CT scan showed nodules in both lungs. Scheduled a biopsy, they did another CT and all nodules had just vanished. Doctor had no explanation and I'm not about to tempt fate on this one. I feel very, very fortunate.

Everyone hears/knows the "cigarettes are bad" bit. They start smoking when they feel young and invincible. Then things like this creep up on them and reality sets in all too quickly. I'm very glad to hear that you seem to be OK now, and I hope you're able to kick the habit for good.

Genetics play a huge part in cancer. Almost as much as behavior.
