If you consider yourself an American sports fan, you have to go to one.

Yeah I'd imagine a noon kickoff in jacksonville or miami isn't quite bama@lsu 2012.

Superdome, arrowhead, lambeau, fedex field, baltimore, mile high, buffalo, hell even Oakland, are what I think of when I consider legit nfl atmospheres

Often lots of crowd fights. The Pontiac Silverdome used to be a war zone, but cutting 15k fans when the Lions went to Ford Field priced out a few of the undesirables.

ut other NFL stadiums I've been to have been boring as shite. But, of course, they were all the Florida teams.

Not a fair comparison

I've been to a a handful of NFL games. A couple in ATL, one in Nashville and a few Saints games, as I consider myself a Saints fan. Saints fans are, by and large, the trashiest I've encountered.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings but I have little in common with the typical NFL football game attendee. And I enjoy the NFL.

I'm fricking with you. I agree that in terms of appearance and educational background, the average NFL fan is, shall we say, rougher around the edges than the average college fan. I do think you are generally just as likely to see poor behavior from college fans as you will from NFL fans, regardless of outward appeareance.

Solid point...and I'll be the first to admit UA has an extremely trashy fanbase but much of that part of the base doesn't attend games.

been to 4 saints games and over 50 LSU games, LSU is by far better, but I would imagine the Super Dome in a playoff game to be on par. The loudest Saints game I went to was when Drew broke Unitas's record, place was rocking.

I've been to plenty of both college and pro games.

I like the bands at college games a lot.

I have a better time at Saints games though. I've always been of the opinion that if you can't come to New Orleans and have fun, you probably just don't know how to have a good time.

I like going to South Alabama games because the crowds are small and you usually don't have to wait long for beer (except the Miss. State game this year). I've only seen one fight at a game and it was some dumb redneck Alabama fan being a piece of crap to a Troy fan. Dude decked out in Alabama gear sucker punched a guy in the line getting a drink. I really have no idea why but the Bama guy was drunk as hell. I think he did it just to be an a-hole.

I went to my first(Giants-Falcons) a few weeks ago. It definitely is no SEC atmosphere. I liked going but I don't think I could do more than one a year.

Then again...I like the Falcons but I'm 100x more invested in UGA. I guess if it was flipped I would have had a more memorable time.
