You're right. They beat VA Tech. Gave SC a game. Either way, his statement is as dumb as mine was.

Why doesn't anyone understand the only good teams ever in CFB are

The SECw
Miami

The rest of CFB is god awful, overrated, or lucky.

Timing. They beat VT when they were considered good. Looking at their results, this team shouldn't be sniffing the top 25. Gave up 24 to SMU for god sake.

Ms state has benefited from that vs a&m and LSU, but that Auburn win is legit. If they they beat the Aggies 48-31 now, it wouldn't be a good win even.

East Carolina beat UNC as well. If they don't blow this, they have a good shot to be the Group of Five rep to play in either the Orange, Fiesta, Cotton, or Peach bowl.

They've discovered the best way to get overrated... play a bunch of bottom tier ACC and American Athletic schools.

Didn't they hang a 70-spot on UNC, who gave Notre Dame a ball game?

If Marshall goes unbeaten ECU won't be the rep.

It will be interesting where Marshall and East Carolina are in the initial committee ranking. If their records hold up, it will be a good minor storyline going into the selection show, and tell us a bit about the committee's emphasis on strength of schedule.
