Doctor who was around Ebola reported extremely high fever and was rushed into isolation.

He treated several other patients.

New York Post Article

Probably nothing tho.

As long as healthcare workers from 1st world countries keep traveling to Africa to fight Ebola, we can expect a few of them to bring Ebola back home with them.

I doubt it is anything us normal folk should worry about....unless we are sleeping with or living with this doctor.

We are sending soldiers over there too, let a few of them come back with it and we officially have a mess on our hands. And Obama is responsible.

Once again, that is the reason they should be quarantined.

This gentlemen hired an uber car yesterday, and went bowling.
Now the CDC, if it follows its recent pattern, will quarantine a bunch of folks he came into contact with.

THE POLICY MAKES NO SENSE!

At least this time everyone was warned in advance. The EMT's showed up in hazmat. Likewise, the hospital took him straight to isolation. Very different Healthcare Worker risk profile as compared to Duncan. More akin to Emory's admissions.

Glad Dallas could work out all the kinks for the rest of the country. You're welcome, New York

Seriously though, doctors who treat Ebola patients shouldn't be allowed to treat others.

New York hospitals, NYFD, NYPD, etc, train for this stuff... have been for decades.

He went to Africa to treat ebola and now has a high fever and symptoms. he probably has it.

but
quote:

And New York-York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia, where Spencer is on staff, insisted “he has not been to work at our hospital and has not seen any patients at our hospital since his return from overseas.”

quote:

“It is our understanding very few people were in direct contact with him,” the mayor said. “Every protocol has been followed. We're hoping for a good outcome for this individual.”

quote:

The shocking revelation that Dr. Craig Spencer was roaming around town — after sources said he first told authorities he self-quarantined himself — emerged after the medic was hauled off Thursday to Bellevue Hospital in a protective suit with symptoms of the deadly disease.

As long as he wasn't exhibiting symptoms it was okay for him to be going around.

I love the quote from one of his neighbors:

quote:

"Oh, lovely," said Brooke Christensen, who lives in the building, after learning her neighbor was taken away for Ebola testing.

"I'm not concerned," she said. "I've had no fluid exchange with my neighbors."

Given what we've found out about Ebola over the last three months, why in the world would his girlfriend see him so soon after he returned from Africa treating Ebola patients? If I had a girlfriend who had returned to the U.S. after treating Ebola patients in Africa, I'd say to her, "I'm glad you're back, I'll see you in three weeks."

You can change the title. It's a positive test for ebola.

More people have married Kim Cardashian than have contracted ebola within the U.S.

and, I am not sure which is worse.

Both seem to have a disproportionate effect on black people.
