I've enjoyed it but it does take some discipline. People will give me shite for weighing out my food or counting my servings but that's just part of it. Don't like it? Don't do it. But don't hate because I lost weight while eating a little bit of everything.

Everyone's different when it comes to the numbers. There calculators to get started but I've used trial and error to find my sweet spot. I'm currently doing 200c/200p/50f. Currently increasing carbs to gain back size.

Don't listen to anything this fool:

says. He's out to rustle jimmies.

As DrTyger said, the occasional fast food meal is fine, it's just a matter of keeping from eating a bunch of saturated fats and other nasty shite that is in fast food. The macros thing is a good guideline to follow, but eating healthier foods is always better than getting your macros from foods high in things like saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, and sodium, among other things.

How are you not gaining pure fat taking in so many carbs and so few fat grams?

OP, As alot of people have said, youre fine eating fast food honestly as many times as you want as long as youre smart about it and dont get french fries and down cola everytime. A double cheeseburger on half a bun loaded with mayo is fine as long as it fits in your macros. Forget about cholesterol, forget about fat. You will have to compensate throughout the day for the amount of sodium youve injested but you'll be fine.

There's nothing wrong with red meat in a diet. But make your own burgers with a higher quality of meat than Hardee's.

Also you should add pork in there. Including bacon (but maybe not every day)

Well if he's someone who needs to watch his cholesterol, bacon every day may not be the best idea. That's why I said maybe. Everyone is different.

It's a dietary philosophy that says you can eat whatever you want as long as it fits the required percentage of macronutrients for your goals in the day. Everything fits in to either fats, protein, or carbs.

It's a very simple concept to follow, but it's fundamentally flawed because it doesn't take into account types of fat, bioavailability of protein, cholesterol, sodium content, glycemic index of carbs, etc.

Yes, today for example, I ate.

6 eggs
10 chicken nuggets from BK (only $1.49)
1 ice cream cone
1 Protein Shake
1 Pop Tart
Salad
Homemade Chicken Wings

I dont really keep track of macros much anymore, although I used too when I first started. But the above appears to be about 2500 calories which is a little less than my TDEE ~~~> LINK /

I just started back to recommit to healthier eating. This week after realizing I was pushing 190. My goal is to reach 175 by Dec 10. I'm working out 6 days a week with a combo of HIIIT and core and lifting.

For diet I'm just counting calories to make sure I'm at a defici....no cokes at all. Only allowing myself beer one day a week. No fast food or junk food....I ate a steak at Chili's yesterday and it was 240 calories 6 oz with broccoli.
