Excuse me but not wanting Paul to be gay in the show IS homophobic. Covering it up with saying "Not that there is anything wrong with that" doesn't hide how closed minded you seem. Is it because he is NICKNAMED Jesus? Because dude... it is just a nickname. I am sure you know at least one person who gets called Jesus because of their long hair and beard. Robert Kirkman said countless times that he is NOT based off Jesus Christ and he's just a dude with a long hair and beard who kicks total arse and just so happens to be gay. Representation is so important to minorities in this case gay men and Paul Monroe is a breath of fresh air because the media tends to portray gay men in stereopical ways or to just say "hey look we aren't homophobic" and they have almost no lines or are just a homophobic caricature. But Robert Kirkman doesn't do that with Paul, Eric, and Aaron. He gave all three of them important roles in the comics and are seen for more than their orientation. They are seen as human beings and are respected and I hope more series make more postive gay characters and who can fight (like all the gay men in real life cops, athletes, military etc.) instead of using offensive/unrelaistic clichés of gay men that the media uses countless times.
