It's not the beer giving you a gut, fatty. It's the rest of the shite your putting in your body.

Beer is actually, very healthy. Contains many healthy proteins and anti-bodies. The problem, is that a typical craft beer contains about 200-250 calories per 12 oz. Other whiskey's, bourbons, vodka's, gins, etc... also contain calories, and unless you are drinking them with water, you aren't doing yourself any favors.
The reason it feels that way, is it takes less cocktails to get you drunk, than it does volume of beer, thus less caloric intake. But if you are going to switch that beer with bourbon and coke, you are simply equaling or adding a few calories.

You want to lose weight? Exercise and eat (and drink) smarter.

I'd rather just be dead. I have been cutting back, though.

I've never understood the "I'm going to stop drinking beer for good" angle to gaining weight. Why not just workout or run more. You don't have to completely stop enjoying beer.

Just exercise more.

Or eat less bad foods.

I would never stop drinking beer.

Amen. The last stories of a sober alcoholic mostly involve rot-gut vodka. Not some expensive homo-beer.

That is directly related to craft beer consumption

I maintain a pretty low level of body fat but I have recently started getting into craft beers. I dont do any cardio but I have decided I am going to start running an hour every morning along with my regular work outs rather than giving it up.
