How is Landry Walker ranked, they lost at home to Hahnville.

3OT loss to a team in a higher classification that also took Rummel to 3OTs and had chances to win that game. I don't think it's a bad loss for Landry-Walker at all. And didn't they have some players suspended for the game against Hahnville due a fight the prior week?

let's be honest, their ranking is questionable if Brother Martin and Ponchatoula aren't ranked right now

i'd have them out and then put in the winner of their game with Warren Easton...

Most embarrassing 1 point loss ever. Hey, at least it lead to Rummel winning their first title.

I live near Yenni, folks. It doesn't matter when Archbishop Rummel plays, they pack the place.

We (Brother Martin) have them on Sat. afternoon, Nov. 8th. Could be huge.

They ran for 550+ yards that night. They definitely would have given Rummel a better game than Barbe. Well as long as Rummel didn't kick onside.

27 point lead with less than 5 minutes left. Barbe scored, WM fumbled, Barbe scored, kicked onside, scored, kicked onside, scored. Won by 1 point. Biggest miracle ever

Maybe....but you're talking about national rankings out of thousands of schools where the people doing the rankings have seen a VERY small fraction of the games. Chances are, they haven't even seen Landry-Walker, Brother Martin or Ponchatoula play and are giving LW the benefit of the doubt since they were ranked at the beginning of the season. I, personally never give any weight to national rankings for this very reason.

they don't choose from "thousands" of schools...

the top 100 is the top 0.7% of the country, which equals 2 or 3 LHSAA teams ranked if it was based on that. we get more bc some states, and you can guess them, get 0 or if they have a clear top team, are lucky to get 1. Florida, Texas, and California have the most

Brother Martin has never been a real power, they've been far too inconsistent these last couple years, especially, for any kind of national attention.

Some of the greatest games played in La have been in Nola on saturdays and in direct conflict with LSU and other major college games...

Attendance has never been hurt...

In a large metro area....its easier for MORE people to go on a sat than a friday

But it was only one state championship, right?
Bobby Conlin's teams were good, but not consistently powerhouse, as I remember. No?

Plus more people in the New Orleans area care more about the Saints than LSU.
