My dad was senior and played for the Tigers in that game. He still laments the loss, but hates ND even more because of the whole bowl fiasco at the end of the year! Doesn't help that I am a notre dame fan!

That game cost us the NC in 1969. Maybe this was payback for the several times we cost Ole Miss the NC during the previous decade. Of course Ole Miss solves that problem Alabama style by claiming the NC anyway. On Saturday night let's win one for Coach Mac and his '69 Tigers.
