I googled "porn". I found the link below on the first page of results. It seems kinda political in nature.

that election was so close; Gore won the popular vote in the country...but lost his home state

didn't help that the overseas military vote was repressed and Dems wanted it that way, so if you had to follow the voting regulations there, should have to follow every other voting regulation in FL

Bush simply won by the count, should never have tried to divine intention of hanging, or depressed, or dimpled, chads

If you can't follow directions and make sure your chad is all the way punched your vote doesn't count. It is take simple and takes a grand total of 2 seconds. Bush won Florida.

ETA: I've watched the debates and looked at records. Voting for Gore would have been ridiculous, especially having seen Gore go off the deep end since.

amazing to me that the "cut spending" types would still want Bush over Gore considering that the former took over a budget surplus and promptly flushed it down the toilet and then proceeded to tear through a TRILLION dollars getting revenge on Saddam for trying to kill his daddy.

a budget surplus

Spin, propoganda, lie - at the very least an exaggeration. There was no "surplus" as the public debt of the United States never went down.

Ergo, the better argument (and accurate one) - is that Bush took a budget that was in near balance, took the U.S. to a, frankly, necessary war in Afghanistan (in response to an attack) and a discretionary one in Iraq (although for some very valid reasons) - wars being fairly expensive, the resulting deficits ultimately increased the U.S. public debt. Continuing operations in Afghanistan remain expensive.

Gore would have blown the surplus on GW bullshite and done very little to respond to 9/11. Also I would hate to see the deficit if Gore had deficit spent at the same rate as Odumbass.

Ultimately, a media consortium—comprising the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Tribune Co. (parent of the Los Angeles Times), Associated Press, CNN, Palm Beach Post and St. Petersburg Times[65]—hired the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago[66] to examine 175,010 ballots that were collected from the entire state, not just the disputed counties that were discounted; these ballots contained undervotes (votes with no choice made for president) and overvotes (votes made with more than one choice marked). Their goal was to determine the reliability and accuracy of the systems used for the voting process. The NORC concluded that if the disputes over the validity of all the ballots statewide in question had been consistently resolved and any uniform standard applied, the electoral result would have been reversed and Gore would have won by 107–115 votes if only two of the three coders had to agree on the ballot. When counting ballots wherein all three coders agreed, Gore would have won the most restrictive scenario by 127 votes and Bush would have won the most inclusive scenario by 110 votes. Inclusive in media reporting likely refers to including the undervotes (only) as these people were then included in the vote. Whether overvotes were truly nullified in counts is not known.[67]

Subsequent analyses cast further doubt on conclusions that Bush likely would have won anyway, had the U.S. Supreme Court not intervened. An analysis of the NORC data by University of Pennsylvania researcher Steven F. Freeman and journalist Joel Bleifuss concluded that a recount of all uncounted votes using any standard (inclusive, strict, statewide or county by county), Gore would have been the victor.

Someone tried to rig the vote in a few precincts and ran the wire through the wrong hole in the ballot (the Buchanan hole). Instead of invalidating all the votes except Gore's, they invalidated a bunch of Gore votes.
Hadn't heard that. Disgusting if true.

You don't know that.

What we DO know is that Bush quickly took the focus off 9/11 and in fact used public sentiment from that tragedy to pursue a totally different agenda in Iraq and on top of that publicly stated that he didn't have any interest in killing the man responsible; a job Obama finished for him.
