Where can you not get drinks near the dome is the better question.

But yeah, they usually have a few guys selling beers right before the overpass headed towards the dome.

Champions' Square has them too, but they'll charge you $8 a pop.

Something closer than Walk On's? Walk On's is a block away. There are several bars next to Walk On's like the Irish Pub and Lil Gem's.

The bar at Borgne is nice, but I am not sure how crowded it gets. There are also other bars in the Hyatt. Allegro is a madhouse. Don't do it.

Borgne gets packed from the bar all the way to back wall that seperates the dining room. The dining room is also usually full.

It's still a good atmosphere and not terribly hard to get a drink

"Handsome Willy's"

I have long wanted to go by there but it is somewhat out of the way for me. Maybe with the game being later in the evening I can make it by this time.

Hyatt is not as quick as it used to be. Since champions square opened you have to walk out to Poydrass then over and in tothe Dome. I'd leave 30 mins minimum or you will be late.

Considering it cost $5.50 for a bottle of water at the LSU game, I suggest going to the gas station and drinking it in Champions Square.
