My dog is a Brittany/Irish setter mix and she absolutely enjoyed herself. She never really locked up on birds, but you could tell she was picking up their scent. She worked in horizontal sweeps 20 yards in front of me and really thrived in the standing corn where she flushed birds right in our faces. She was obedient in the field outside of one little episode but having her flush a big rooster in my face and me shoot it down really made the trip.

Your dog is gorgeous. Where did you get her?

Yeah he talked a lot of shite but couldn't back it up. Made a good gumbo though. Poor thing was sluggish in the mud too

What's there to back up? My 4 mallards spoiled while yall took pics with them for hours. All I remember after you moved over to cover the 3 o'clock approach to Wick and I's spread for 2 hours and no telling how many shells. You walk back holding your birds and quickly "helped" me carry my strap. I ask if you want to stay and kill another limit as the mallards poured in, your reply "I've shot boxes of shells I'm out, how many boxes do you have?" "Over 2" i replied. As I watched your eyeliner run down your cheeks, you sheepishly ask, "well how many boxes did you start with?" "Less than 3." With that you grabbed my greenheads and pouted all the way to truck.

And now some of the truth starts coming out. pics are awesome. Very jealous. Would love to take this trip with y'all gents next year. Can promise one thing will be slightly different though...the buzzes will not be quite so sparse.

We had plenty of drinkers with us, it just wasn't possible to both hunt and drink a full speed, had to choose...

Very nice pictures and looks like a wonderful trip. As others have said with no hunting around here right now it was great living through your updates and pictures.

Well this about sums the trip up for ol ST. Excuses and complaining with a day early departure.

I think you may not remember the Duck hunt very clearly though

I probably killed 4 times the amount of birds that ST did on this trip.
