Does anyone have any recommendations for a free stock ticker to download?
Not necessarily live trades like the bottom of Fox Business Channel, but customizable to your portfolio so you can constantly see the price of your positions or any you are following rolling across the bottom throughout the day.
For the record, I've googled this. I just want to know if there is a specific one anyone can vouch for.

Yes, I use it and have them on there.
I'm just wondering if someone makes one that rolls across the bottom of your computer screen like on tv but with your interest.
I sit at a computer most of the day, and I'm tired of checking my phone all the time. I leave scott trade open in another window, but it closes down after inactivity, so you constantly have to log back in.

Regarding the iPhone....any free apps good for stock tracking like the OP wants? I use the generic stock app that comes with the phone, but wondering if any are better

I just dug deeper into my Scottrade account features.
The "scottrader" feature does everything I was looking for. It has a customizable active ticker rolling real time trades in my positions and stuff I'm following.
