I work out of my home and every single day, all day, all I hear are freakin leaf blowers! On a nice fall day it would be nice to work with the window open, but the noise pollution is terrible.
I live in an older, established neighborhood that was built before neighborhood covenants, so there are no restrictions on them.
Anybody else out there with the same issue?

I hate when my leaf blower can't get the leaves that are pressed into the grass because it rained a day or two before. I waste so much gas running that fricker an extra 20 seconds per square foot.

No. I have more important things to focus on. Like this post, for instance

even when there are restrictions they can use them from 9-5.

They are annoying. My neighbor gets his grass cut every Monday at 8am. If it's a day I chose to sleep in it sucks for me.

Um... not at all? Did I use the wrong OT terminology or am I gay for not liking leaf blowers?
Also, I don't listen to Coldplay, and I have never macramed myself a pair of jean shorts.

I'm relatively certain my neighbors would be pissed if I didn't blow off and edge my property weekly. I'm really not getting the hate here. It's a worthy tradeoff. I'm sure in the frick not getting out a rake other than to form it into a pile at the street. Sadly my leaf blower doesn't do that too well, just blows it everywhere filling the street.

I too work from home. My neighbor, who is retired, mows, edges and blows 2 times a week. Then the landscape crews come do my other neighbors yards. The dust they stir up is incredible. I have a layer of dirt on my car and outside deck when they leave. They should be outlawed!

lazy bastards with their air and noise pollution.

If I was czar of this city I would ban them!

I prefer taking less than an hour to do my entire yard. cut, trim, eat and blow.

I have a small yard and like to get out and let the wife watch the toddler for a while. If I had a huge yard I would use a leaf blower.
