I would agree with all of that, but I'm concerned about their D stacking the box, and daring us to pass. We've yet to show that's a serious threat

Motivation on our part has fallen off after abusing them for so many years, but I imagine if you asked Adams or Alexander or Magee if they're buying into this being a serious rivalry, they'd give you an earful.

Anyone who says they don't have some kind of history with Ole Miss and aren't really chomping at the bit to spoil their little party has something wrong with them.

That's fine, BUT This is the 1st time in a long time that LSU has been so physically dominated by the two teams that have beaten them. ONE AT HOME... Ole Miss will do the same...

It's hard to quantify how much we've improved. We certainly look a lot better but that could almost entirely be because we're comparing games against UK and UF to 2 legitimate top 5 teams. We didn't even look THAT good against UF. Our defense made their putrid offense look serviceable as they put together some decent sustained drives. A bad Mizzou team just waxed that same UF team last week. We were about to do nothing but run against UK and had success and kept our D off the field. That isn't going to happen against Ole Miss. We're just not going to look the same this weak as last week against the Ole Miss D. If we're going to win, we're going to have to find a serviceable intermediate passing game. Im not optimistic that we'll both give jennings the chance to do this and that he will execute it sufficiently.

I disagree about LSU being physically dominated by either Miss St. or Auburn. I think what beat us was a combination of youth and coaching.

We've come a ways with regard to these two things, and I think that if Les lets them play, this team will out-tough anyone.

I'm telling you guys, you're selling them short...

Yeah-there's something strange in the air this week and you need to stop huffing on it. Your reasoning is weak beyond belief.

You're telling me there is nothing especially sweet to you in beating Ole Miss. I enjoy it just as much each and every year and hate it when we lose to them.

This year is going to be ultra sweet when we ruin their shite...

You know what, I played college ball and have followed it fervently for many years. I like to think I have developed something of a sixth sense about teams that I love. As long as this team keeps fighting and doesn't give up on itself, I'm going to feel unnaturally positive about it's chances of success.

You think LSU-Ole Miss is the best rivalry in the nation??? Maybe back in the late 50s it was, but not today.

Actually, until the mid-70's when both programs struggled, LSU-OM was a huge rivalry and recognized as such by the national media. Intermittent mediocrity kept the rivalry luke-warm but if OM continues to match LSU's success for say 3-5 years in succession, we may yet see this once-intense rivalry rise to one of the nations best.

I'm telling you, this kid has character and toughness, he will "get it" sooner rather than later.

Yes, we agree, but he was run out of town because his feet were not quick enough and transferred to Rutgers.........
