It isn't a big deal to me, but I prefer for the person I'm with to at least be covert about it. Please don't put your flash on or pose shite.

If you already have your phone out and it fits okay with the atmosphere to do so, whatever. Go for it.

This.

I split 10's and an old lady who was calling me her boyfriend 5 minutes before started calling me a mf'er. And she wasn't the only one.

I'm usually embarrassed to take a pic at a busy restaurant but that's something internal I need to fix. No fricks given if someone wants to take a pic of their food.

Same. Then I regret not having pics for you guys.

This is the reason I get shy about doing it myself. I hate looking like some tourist weirdo excited over food. But the reality is that I just love food. And I enjoy when I can look at a restaurant's Yelp page and see 300 photos of dishes, so I really need to get over it and contribute more.

Dealer is showing a bust card, i'm splitting. No fricks given. I've split them up to 3 times. It makes it more fun for me and I would say that I have won more than I have lost doing it. It's a surefire way to get the table against you, though.

i do it when the dish is pic-worthy. I don't really care what the rest of the people in the place think.

I could see how that would be one's impression. I eat out pretty frequently, and if I order a dish that is interesting (possibly a special) I'm probably going to take a picture. Sure, I'm not taking a picture of turtle soup at Commanders, but if I see a special that might interest other regular diners I will.

I'm looking less for duplication than for something unique to share.

I'm fine with people taking pictures. But when they tell you to wait to eat so they can take a picture is when it is annoying. If you want a picture of food that bad order and pay for it all yourself.

I see people reference this, but I've never had someone do that to me.

I only do it when I know I'm going to write a review of the food on here or Yelp or somewhere like that.

For some reason I feel people want to hear my opinion. Call me self absorbed. I don't care

What's funny is when they take the pictures and do nothing with them. The picture are there just to take up room on their phone.

I'm trying to figure out how he knows what random folks are doing with their phone pics.

I'm not gonna sit here and tell you how to play your hand because it doesn't make a difference to my hand in the long run, but you do know that's the wrong play statistically?

I take pictures sometimes when I anticipate creating a review and it helps me remember what I got.

This taking pictures is getting out of hand though when some of my younger patients try to take pictures/videos while I am working on them in my dental office.

That's moronic.

Sonny, I remember a day when I had a little camera, and if I wanted to see the 16 pictures that came on the roll I had, I had to take it to a place and wait days. Sometimes one day or even and hour if I was spendtrifty. But half the pics would never come out. If I wanted to take a pic and see it right away I had to buy $10 for 10 pics film.
Now I can put a $10 card in my phone and store 1,200 pictures. So to that I say, "click away".

I do this all the time and I strictly just take the food pics and then put my phone back in my purse. I refuse to text while I eat.
