Discover beat earnings... down 4.5%???

The one thing I've learned about stock prices, especially of major companies - is that just about all assumptions are baked into the price. And these are assumptions the market has, which may not be the same assumptions that the guidance gives.

So if they "beat the number" but offer a number going forward that the analysts don't like, the stock price could be driven down.
