Plus, the committe said it takes injuries into consideration, considering we lost Braxton Miller at the time, they could take that into consideration.

So because you lost Braxton, that makes you a better team?

I thought the point of the playoff is to put the best 4 teams together?

Tulane has the Nola market, GA southern almost upset GT and NC State and lost in the finals seconds in their first year up, but thats just my personal opinion.

Cincy does add a better tv market, but recruiting is so much better in GA and LA.

TV markets don't matter in the Big 12 because they don't have a conference network. TV ratings matter and these teams do nothing but dilute the conference and worsen the matchups.

Still have to deal with K State and the Horns......I know Texas isn't great but they could be a spoiler. And K State and Baylor are still in the mix if they win out.

They have to play in Morgantown as well.

WVU now controls their own destiny and wins the league if they win out (unlikely, but still)

If we did that could be the only real scenario of the Big 12 champ not making it.

This is why I think the playoff should be 8 teams and conferences should get auto bids,

It's not fair that the Big 12 teams all have to play eachother and have a 9 game conference schedule, meanwhile the SEC and Big 10 and ACC only play 8 games and get to dodge 5 teams from the conference.

Big 12 doesn't do revenue sharing?
They still have tv contracts I thought, which would help them get more money if adding teams in better tv markets.
I am not 100% sure, because I don't follow Big 12 tv contracts and revenue sharing.

But Cincy is a team that might look good now, but I still believe won't be a good add, especially in comparison to what they are leaving on the table that will be much better than Cincy down the road.

No, it isn't. The Big 5 in recruiting are Florida, California, Texas, Ohio and Georgia with Ohio and Georgia lagging because of population and in a virtual dead heat.

Cincinnati was in Tulane's conference for 20+ years. The only reason they are even in the conversation is due to basketball and that they were in the Big East when it was a BCS conference from 2005-2013. If Tulane had the $$$ that Cincy got in that time period, it would be Tulane that would be in the hunt.

What about the extra bye week! It amazes me how that is never brought up. Conferences that have no title game have an extra bye week. 3 byes is a lot of time to have off during a 15 week season. 20% of the season these teams are watching football instead of playing football.

Also, I get tired of the 9 conference game arguement. The SEC Champ and runner up do play 9 games and could potientially meet the same opponent twice. Most teams try to schedule their bye weeks before big games. The conferences that have championship games have rivalry week followed by their championship game not having the ability to place a bye before their biggest game of the season.

The non championship conferences like to remind you that they play everyone in their conference. Their point is that they have to play all the tough teams in their conferences, but in their argument omit the fact that they get the luxury of playing all the shitty teams too!

Even thought the Big 12 doesnt have a championship game, they still play conference games that week.

If Big 12 wants to expand they should pick 2 of:

Houston (most obvious choice)
Memphis (big market, good basketball, good recruiting area)
Colorado State (solid market, decent athletic program)
Tulane (big market, good recruiting, has potential)
UL Lafayette (Has shown they can perform in various sports, good recruiting area)

You have an extra bye. It's called

vs. New Mexico State

WVU plays 12 games this year and 11 of those 12 are P5 games - good teams also - Maryland and Bama

Name me another school that does that

Why do you people continue to think the Big 12, Big 10 1 loss teams would get in over SEC 1 loss teams?

It lacks common sense, look at Strength of Schedule, quality wins, quality losses.

Notre Dame, OSU, K State, Baylor, none of those schedules come close to a 1 loss Alabama , Auburn, Miss St, or Ole Miss.

Who will have gone 2-1 against what is currently the top 5 teams in the country and will hold into the top 10.

If you wanted in and you only play one top 10 team you can't lose that game. If you don't play a top 10 team you can't lose this year. The SEC west is too stacked. If you want to play a conference championship card go undefeated and win your conference championship. Why should a 1 loss Big 12 conference winner get in over a 1 loss SEC west runner up? If you lost to WVU on the road you don't have the resume to jump a team that's only loss is @ Ole Miss, or to #1 Miss st.

For SEC to get two in they need UGA to win the title game

Yeah, all schools should compare themselves to a school that sets their furniture on fire too when they win an ocasional big game.

Tulane just built a 30K stadium and has horrible supporting facilities

False. Basketball practice facility is top shelf. Baseball stadium is top shelf. Need an IPF in football which they can build on the Goldring property; ancillaries will go there too.
Stadium can go to 40. That's good enough.
