Should be a pretty weekend. Haven't done much scouting but know a few spots.

Saw a bunch of guys scouting last weekend trying to get all fancy and making it seem more difficult to catch a red than it really is.

I drive by the marina every day for work. Lots and lots of flats boats have been here since Sunday. I can also assure you that they are all fishing right in the same area as each other. Should be quite the clusterfrick come this weekend.

Yeah I saw some pretty ridiculous towers. Water looked like shite in the marsh so I doubt they were seeing much.

We should start fishing these. I really think I could have a chance, except I refuse to wear those dumb arse shirts with ads all over them.

I don't really like red fishing that much to the point where I would enjoy the stress of a tournament.

I've been considering entering them. Now that Ive switched jobs and off my 7&7 I am highly considering starting next year.

Why get stressed? I'd fish as normal, catch some trout and some slot reds and hope I win. Is that not the norm?

true. You can't get someone to give you that.
what's the typical fee, $50 or so? that would not stress me out. I'd eat $50 worth of Popeyes during the tournament.

The guys that win catch 20 fish that measure close? They don't Tyrone up on a couple reds while trout fishing and end up in the money.
The whole experience isn't very enjoyable to me. Blast off is a fricking nightmare. And the Captain's meeting aren't like the CHS Rodeo. It's a bunch of dudes with logos.
