Let's say you were about to start a tutoring business...how would you go about starting it...what would you charge? how would you reach out? Who would you reach out to?

you'd be very surprised how many people have problems in understanding EXST 7005/7015

That's the problem, nobody understands it, so nobody takes it.

You need something simple, and general, like 'math' or 'science.'

My sister in law makes bank. Gets paid around $200/hr to tutor kids in NYC that are applying for kindergarten. Yep, you read that right. People are fricking nuts up here.

anybody that gets a master's in science pretty much is assured to take a class in EXST 7005/7015 (specifically in the biology/rnr/oceanography/ecology) fields

I've already made $240 tutoring 4 people for 7 hours (7 hours total work)

See, that's the problem. All 3 of them already know it. You got to reach out to the dumb freshmen or lower. The masses of humanity that are grasping just to try to pass with a 'C' to stay in school.

You don't make the money tutoring to the eggheads that already know it. You got to reach the desperate kid that will turn over the keys of his Jeep just to pass Algebra 1001 not to fail out, see?

i see what you are saying...that's why I can also tutor in the undergraduate class EXST 2201...I taught the lab class at LSU for awhile...even taught the lecture class for a couple of days while I was a master's student at LSU...

She would charge $200/hr per kid. Her sessions are 1-2 hours long.

I've been charging anywhere from $15-$25/hr per kid depending on a couple of different criteria. And yeah I have been doing the same around 1 to 2 hours per session
