I've finally figured out why you southern folks have a hard time with baseball.

I'm pretty sure the Cards have like 6 guys from TX. And I know Wainwright is from GA. I'm sure they have at least a couple guys from FL

I loved baseball as a kid, I knew all about the game, get em on, get em over and get em in.
Sadly MLB looked the other way for 20 years and allowed the game and its most treasured STATS, to become prostituted for greeds sake.
That is one aspect that turned me against baseball
Then you have the stupid expansion of playoff teams that finished me off, and now I won't even watch the world series.
You went from 2 deserving teams playing in the World Series in the 1960's to four teams. After 162 games you should get the best 2, but I can see 2 from each league playing for a shot at the W.S.
But then when it wemt to 8 teams and now 10 teams the reason for baseballs long season went down the drain
I can field a so so team and pay big bucks for 2 or 3 pitchers and win series ( because they get stretched out ) and win s world series with an average team.
Ot makes zero sense to play 162 games and then have 10 playoff teams IT'S STUPID.
Go back to 4 teams in the playoffs and I might start watching again, but I doubt it.
