I have been to quite a few college football stadiums, and I don't think I've heard as much hip hop as I do in Tiger Stadium.
I would like to know which ones, because last time I traveled to Ole Miss and Bama both those stadiums were rocking with piped in music and their sound system was great. I used to hate our piped in music because of our crappy sound system, someone would fart and it would shift the sound now at least we have surround sound and it keeps the place alive. But hey if you like to hear jungle boogie and dave mathews band every time out then more power to you, because our band has been atrocious this year, they can can not even get the down songs right.

Still only the fault of one new guy. And still not the first time this has happened, but I guess hating on the band is cool this year.

Not to throw the thread off on a different tangent, but how about this: Piped in music is fine (doesn't bother me in the least), BUT: Let's also bring back an old PC incorrect BAND tradition...how about the "HA-HA" song after an LSU touchdown? (Those over 40 will know of what I speak).....

not trying to hate but you have to admit West Story is getting a little old when you see what Ohio State is doing

The halftime performances at least. Every week it's West Side Story or some good old Latin flair.
Way to follow the herd of idiots. Guess you missed the Journey show a few weeks ago or the Riverdance/U2 show this past week. Good try though.

No, I've been there. Riverdance? Really?

The drum major is usually either a girl (not very often) or a kind of metro guy that doesn't really know much about football so there's a grad assistant watching the game and listening to the radio to tell the drum major what to play.

Because Tiger Band went to Ireland for St. Patrick's Day and it was epic.

Yeah...Riverdance....some sort of tribute to their trip to Ireland.

Not sure if sarcastic, if so you got me. But epic in Ireland = epic in Tiger Stadium?

When Riverdance is used to try and win an argument in favor of the band's halftime show it's time to scrap the whole fricking thing.
Look, the piped in shite is obviously here to stay so LSU just needs to do a better job at song selection. For instance, Old Time Rock N Roll is for backyard bbqs for people over 50. Welcome to the Jungle is literally the song Auburn runs out to at home so maybe don't play that one either. We Will Rock You probably needs to get shuffled out. There's a way to play music and keep it entertaining.

I mentioned this in another thread the other day....when I heard them play this, I literally got angry...it was like the shark had finally officially been jumped for good. As this moldy oldie was playing and exactly ZERO people were jamming to it, the band was politely sitting on their hands doing nothing. If you just HAVE to play shite over the PA system, come up with something better than Bob Seger from 1982
