Why does this bother you? And how does this personally affect or impact you?

They didn't know Gary and don't get it.

condolences to his son, who posts here...

He was posting maybe 2 weeks ago for the first time in what he said was forever.

A shame to have to live through something like that. Damn shame.

Condolences

If the judgment of a man is by how his children grow up to be good people then Gary did it right. The man left way more good in this world and took some evil out of it. Always respected him. Condolences to all the Plauches

RIP. I admire him for having the balls to take out a dreg of society at BTR back in '84. The child molester deserved it.

Once again, RIP Gary.

It doesn't bother or impact me. And Gary probably would have wanted that (I'm assuming he was a big Saints/Tigers fan). Sounds like something my granpda would want to. Just something about the idea of someone missing the funeral of a close relative/friend because of a football game rubs me the wrong way. That's possibly because I'm speaking from experience, and we had to bury my father on a Saturday last fall, and some of the biggest LSU fans I knew were there.

But anyways back to the point of the thread, may God comfort the family. It was a very admirable thing Plauche did back all those years ago.

Wish there were more like him.

Only in Louisiana would you see this (below) but gotta love it!

Saturday is an LSU game and Sunday features the Saints. The family was worried about disrupting plans for fans.

"My dad wouldn't want that," Jody Plauche said.

Someone downvoted this, can only assume it's a child molester.

It's not just the people attending the funeral, it's the 100K attending the game, too.
