Jennings may lack the physical abilities to get the job done, but he has never looked nervous IMO, even coming in at the end of the AR game last season. With Jennings, they at least trust him to run the play that's called in the huddle.

Miles put Harris as a starter to silence the fans.

Harris was not ready to start (some players are best "off the bench" and Jennings should have started w/ Harris coming in in the 2nd or 3rd series.

why announce it a week ahead of time and allow Auburn to prepare ? could we have made it easier on Auburn ?

IMO it was Miles' way of saying I KNOW BETTER...it matters not that we put a whole season at risk.

After his stubbornness at the NC game... I have very little trust in his motives.
His money is already made.

I know many here worship Miles.. you are entitled to your opinion, as I am of mine.
To me, he is a highly-paid employee....I neither love him or hate him.

Not even worth trying on here anymore. Harris is still an unknown. Jennings is known to be below average at best, yet the Rant decided Harris wasn't ready based on a half road game against a top 5 team in the country. I'm pretty sure the LSU fan base is fatigued by the debate and just trying to enjoy the season and hope for the best. It is possible for Jennings to "wake up" hopefully.

This is actually where you people are wrong, Harris' faults come with not being able to check into the plays cam wants and cams inability to simplfy his checks.

Jennings just handing it off a million times or throwing it in the stands makes for less bad checks at the line.

I don't know if garbage is the proper word but very inconsistent is definitely true. He reminds me somewhat of Jamarcus russel can throw a deep ball but can't throw it that good for short passes

I know. In no way was saying Miles was wrong or he is making the wrong decision. I was addressing a point that is made by fans. And immediately Mylsuhat and the fire brigade went apeshit and flew off the handle. How damn jaded has this board gotten . Like damn cats next to firecrackers is what Lsu fans have become

For me both QBs have proven "they are not ready", unfortunately they are the only two LSU has. I still believe BH has much more upside and I'm not sure either will ever be "ready" but I have more faith in BH than AJ at this point.

AJ could turn into a Mason(UGA) type QB eventually. BH has the better arm and legs in my opinion. LSU is trying to wins games this year.

You are assuming, most likely incorrectly, that people are only saying Harris proved he wasn't ready based on his stats.

He messed up some very simple, obvious things in that game that didn't have anything to do with reading coverages, throwing passes, making calls, etc. And if anyone watching on TV could see those few basic things, it is probably safe to assume there are a bunch of other things he messed up that the staff would be aware of.

Hopefully it was just nerves and he'll look completely different next time.

ETA: Why do you agree with starting Jennings? Because he is more talented?

No, because overall I think he has a better grasp of the playbook and feel of a college game right now, however, I think the lack of trying to work Harris into this has been handled somewhat poorly. And yes, for people like you I understand they can say they saw Harris wasnt ready based on the things you mentioned. However, I jumped to the stats because I am trying to address the people that use that as their argument

It is the job of the coaches to get kids ready to play.

Nah. Les doesn't give a rats arse about the fans. He started Harris because Jennings looked bad against a rent a win and Harris played will in that game.

I'm pretty sure a majority are fatigued by watching Jennings' inability to move the ball on 3rd down, throw the short pass or check down to another receiver. Harris or Jennings, I think we all can agree we have a QB problem. Facts are, statistically we are one of the worst passing teams in the country. All we can do is root hard for whoever is under center and enjoy the wins we do pull out.
