I think most would agree that Peyton doesn't throw the best looking ball.

I was thinking this the other day watching him. His accuracy is on another level tho.

Rodgers sat behind Favre long enough to learn what not to do

I think what it boils down to is that Rodgers and Brady just really do not like throwing the ball to the other team. So what they end up doing is instead of sometimes throwing the ball to players with different jerseys from their own, they throw to those in matching jerseys instead.

I think over time through trial and error they have come to realize that doing this really cuts down on the number of interceptions.

It all comes down to football IQ. Rodgers and Brady recognize it, while other QBs don't.

Well Brady is the best to ever do it so it's part of his game. Take care of the football. He's not into hero ball.

There is sacks. Rodgers takes a lot of sacks rather than throw interceptions whereas other QB's try to get rid of the ball.

It has been shown that interceptions are closely correlated to the quality of pass blocking. The better the protection, the fewer the interceptions. Rodgers' pass blocking isn't always great, but he takes a lot of sacks rather than make a bad pass.

Brady benefits usually from an offensive line that gives him all day to throw the ball. When his blocking falters as it did earlier this season, his interceptions go up.

Look at Manning. He had 10 or fewer interceptions or 2004-2006 because he had a very good line, including a pro bowl left tackle. That left tackle retired at the end of 2006, the left tackle spot became a huge weakness, and Manning's interceptions immediately jumped to 14 interceptions, then 12, then 16, then 17. He then goes to the Broncos where he had a very good line, and his interceptions once again dropped to 11, then 10, and currently on pace for less than 10.

Some QBs tend to overestimate themselves and try to thread a needle and risk the pick for a big gain, Manning and Brees are two I see that happen to very often.

Brady and Rodgers take calculated risks as well, but I've seen them take a sack or throw it away more often when there's nothing going for them.

To add some numbers, Peyton's career sack percentage is 3.1%. Rodgers is 7.3%. Even in 2010 when Manning had a horrendous line that used the leftovers of other teams and played a backup guard at left tackle, his sack rate was only 2.3%, but he threw 17 interceptions because he tried to get rid of the ball under pressure rather than take the sack.

Brady's sack rate is at 5.0% for his career. In 2010 when he only threw 4 interceptions and had an exceptional line, his sack rate was still 4.8%, or twice as high as Manning's despite Manning having a worse line. The conclusion is that Brady too is willing to take a sack rather than trying to get rid of the ball while under pressure.

Finally, look at Drew Brees this year. Everyone talks about his terrible pass blocking, yet his sack rate is a league low 1.9%. Why? Because he is trying to get rid of the ball rather than take the sack.

So that is what it comes down to. What do you do when the pocket is collapsing - take the sack or try to get rid of the ball.

Brady and Rodgers are in the former camp and take more sacks but also throw for fewer yards and touchdowns. Brees and Manning are in the latter camp and throw more interceptions but also throw for more yards and usually more touchdowns, though Brees is really far behind this year in touchdowns (Peyton is on pace for 51 touchdowns this year).

Every year it the same thing. These guys hardly ever throw to the other team, but Brees and Manning do on regular basis - rate of almost 1 INT per game.

Also Rodgers and Brady don't force a play. They will take a sack if the options aren't there and live for the next play.
