What is the secret to Rodgers and Brady throwing so few interceptions?

Every year it the same thing. These guys hardly ever throw to the other team, but Brees and Manning do on regular basis - rate of almost 1 INT per game.

This year so far:

Rodgers: 1 INT in 211 passes attempted.
Brady: 2 INT in 246 passes attempted.

What's their secret?

I would say they throw a horizontal game more than most..but Rodgers loves the deep ball too

Aaron Rodgers has a 1.7% interception rate for his career.Lowest all time. Brady is second.

Peyton and Brees are tied for 15th all time with the likes of Joe Montana and Steve Young.

The biggest surprise for me is that Sam Bradford is 4th all time.

Seems like opposing teams can never get pressure on these guys. When the pocket does collapse on Rodgers, he simply backpedals a bit and hits his target.

it is pretty darn impressive that Rodgers has only thrown one interception so far, and it was the first game of the season.

I've watched more packers games this season than usual because I have Rodgers on my fantasy team and he always seems to make the right throws.

Peyton Manning has 3 INTs. So, I won't even discuss him since this doesn't apply to him.

Why do Rodgers and Brady have so few INTs? Rodgers has been sacked 17 times. Brady has been sacked 13 times. Drew Brees has been sacked 5 times.

Apparently, Drew Brees would rather throw INTs and lose, than take a sack, punt, and rely on his defense.

Brady's secret is to not throw a pass over 5 yards

I think most would agree that Peyton doesn't throw the best looking ball.

Aaron Rodgers has one of the strongest, if not the strongest arm in the NFL. That helps avoid INTs.

Aaron Rodgers will be the GOAT QB when he retires.

Tom Brady is top 5 all-time.

That's why.

They just take more sacks. It isn't rocket science.

I would have to say how they deal with pressure. Rodgers is very mobile so he can get away from pressure. Brady just takes the sack. Drew will almost never take a sack. That is where most of his picks come from. He refuses to just fall and take a sack like Brady does so often. Manning, his may be due to his lack of arm strength or trying to force balls.
I also agree that Brady throws a ton of 5 yard passes

Yeah, because the Packers o-line is terrible! Rodgers does take a lot of sacks, but he also makes a lot of plays with his feet.

Rodgers is just that good and takes many more sacks.
Brady has historically had a great line and also doesn't throw many risky passes.

well, he wrongly compared one player (PM). So, if you throw him out and compare the 2 with few INTs (Rodgers, Brady) to the one with a bunch of INTs (Brees), the one big difference is way more sacks for Rodgers and Brady compared to Brees. It is pretty obvious.

Both Brady and Rodgers realize the value in taking a sack, punting, and living to fight another day. Drew Brees is like a 40 year old Brett Favre with about 25% of the arm strength.

Both in the same game, and both in the second half when the team was trailing by at least 24 points.

None in the other 6 games.
