Georgia 2003

In a game I will always remember, the Tigers played their hearts out and with little time left Georgia broke a 80+ yard TD to give them the lead late. I remember watching that play and putting my head in my hands as I had just watch us lose a game it looked like we had won....
And then I heard it..

L..S...U!!! L..S..U!!!!

In a moment that should have destroyed the crowds morale, the entire stadium was screaming LSU, LSU and I remember the Georgia players and coaches looking around during their celebration with a WTF? look on their faces.

Big return and then one of the most famous plays is TS history to seal an amazing win and propel is forward.

My point is that the crowd was not going to let our team lose that day and that is exactly what we need this Saturday. Cheer like hell, chants at the other team all game, during TOs and after they score. We pull this one out and you have a top-15 LSU squad headed to a bye getting ready to welcome a top-3 Alabama team to town... Win that... And who knows what could happen.

Geaux Tigers!!!

My most intimidating moment was that time that the real Mike the Tiger sat outside the visitor's locker room in his travel cage.

I was there! Such an amazing moment. Still the best game I have ever been to in TS.

That wasn't really intimidating to Georgia...it was inspiring to LSU...but great moment either way.

I remember that game too. The details are unimportant, but the part that awesome crowd played in lifting those players was incredible. That is what an LSU crowd is about.

I was in one of the uppers in a sea of red shirts. Very top row. 4 of us, two couples. A young UGA fan was giving us shite for most of the first quarter. Not in a fun way either. After one of his more vulgar outbursts directed at us, I saw a shadow. Look left to see a UGA fan that was about 6' 5" 270ish. He grabs the young taunter by the throat, looks him in the eyes and said, "listen mother fricker...you say one more word to these people, or even turn to look at them again, and I'm throwing your sorry arse over the top of this stadium." He never turned around again.

I would like to see more of this. If the fans would chant LSU instead of whining, it may stop some momentum of the other team. Once the crowd is out the game the other team gets more confident. After a score from the other team maybe the fans can chant LSU louder. Who knows, it could be a positive for the players.

Same game, but remember when DJ Shockley came in for a series when Greene got hurt? He seemed pretty intimidated.

Got his payback though a couple years later in the SEC Championship game.

We've all witnessed how those Tigers dominate when the crowd takes over the game. It's like a feeding frenzy. Makes me wanna tackle the dog and run outside to sack my neighbor.

I don't ever recall an "LSU" chant ever erupting after a td for the other team before that moment. Totally spontaneous, and definitely brought life back to the crowd. The student section started it. Immediately following that Devery Henderson returned the kickoff out about 45 yards and the scene was set.

I sat underneath the overhang in the South endzone right above the UGA fans. We had about 4 or 5 rows of Tiger fans right above the UGA section. There was some good natured taunting going on all game. I'll never forget former LSU baseball player Trey McClure calling out to one of the UGA fans after the Skyler Green td, "Where you at, Snoop?" The UGA fan shared a likeness to Snoop Dogg.

This was truly an educated crowd that smelled blood in the water. When Shockley came in the noise on 1st down was as loud as the noise you would expect on a 4th down conversion attempt. The entire crowd was anticipating the sack and fumble, or interception. Sustained noise for 3 straight downs.

it's pretty intimidating to be in a port a potty that is at a 45 degree angle.

My brother and I were in the same general area. That was a great game and one of my all time favorites.

I guess it was the echo coming off the overhang above my head, but I recall the UGA fans being really loud during that 90 yard screen pass.
