What would stop me from, for example, looking at the obituaries from today's newspaper, finding a person who just died in my precint named Orville Sherwoodson, and then going to a polling station and signing off on Orville Sherwoodson's name and voting?

What mechanisms in place would prevent this?

Now imagine a union group combing thru newspapers across the area and all voting as recently deceased individuals

Just go vote in Chicago as someone else and you don't have to jump through all the hoops you listed...

Saying voter ID is racist is racist, because essentially you're saying minorities are too stupid to obtain a FREE ID.

The soft bigotry of low expectations, it's killing me inside. Why do democrats hate black people so much?

See they can play both sides with this, they can cover those who actually are that stupid plus it helps them get away with using that small element as a racism card shill to wide open commit fraud. Pretty clever except to those who are being intellectually honest!

Voting roll purges...or a mechanism whereby when a death certificate is filed it is also filed with the registrar of voters who will purge the name from the rolls. I'm more shocked that in this day and age the system isn't more integrated and efficient.

Would absolutely support this more than voter ID laws.

You know this is not accurate?

For Louisiana

quote:

If the applicant does not have identification, s/he shall sign an affidavit to that effect before the commissioners, and the applicant shall provide further identification by presenting his current registration certificate, giving his date of birth or providing other information stated in the precinct register that is requested by the commissioners. However, an applicant that is allowed to vote without the picture identification required by this Paragraph is subject to challenge as provided in R.S. 18:565.

I've seen people vote with nothing more than a utility bill.

That would be fairly easy to work. Get department of vital records to notify registrar that a death certificate was issued, resulting in automatic purge. Computers help us to share information about homestead exemptions already. Voter registrations to death certificates should be a no brainer. Got to get the legislature on this. No sarcasm, that is really a good idea.

What about voting as someone that is alive and on the voting roll? What mechanisms in place would prevent me, a registered voter, from:
1. Signing in as myself
2. Pick a name that is on the same page, but does not have a signature by it
3. Tell that name to a partner in the scam
4. Partner uses that name to vote

Hey goldennugget, NOTHING would stop you. But don't bring that up. Voter fraud is a myth. IDs are racist!!!!!!!!!!
