So Rotoworld:
I was just about to drop Stacy this week, but then Fisher...

There's a big difference between something like "has a chance to make an impact" and workhorse-level 25-carries. There's no way he gets that kind of workload right?
*sigh*
Probably will if I can get one of the wire claims, particularly Tre Mason, but still.

Zac Stacy didn't register a single touch in the Rams' Week 7 win over the Seahawks.
Benny Cunningham got the start for the Rams, with Stacy playing just one snap all afternoon. But it was Tre Mason who took control of the backfield by out-touching Cunningham 18-7. Stacy isn't injured, as he was seen on the sideline just waiting to see if he'd play. He simply hasn't been effective all season, and the Rams are making a switch. Stacy can now safely be dropped in 12- and 14-team leagues as the Rams' No. 3 running back. He's a slow mover who doesn't do anything in the pass game. He's Matt Asiata and Shonn Greene's child.
I was just about to drop Stacy this week, but then Fisher...
quote:
"We've got three outstanding runners," Fisher said, referring to Stacy, Benny Cunningham and rookie Tre Mason. "And as I mentioned, we think Trey Watts can also help us, so we're going to use them all. It'll be a week-to-week thing. Zac could get 25 carries this week. We had some things in early this week. It was working so we decided to stay with ‘Mase.' It's nothing that Zac has done or hasn't done. He's been a little banged up the last couple of weeks, but obviously he's an outstanding runner as well. We clearly have significant depth there at the position."
Fisher noted Stacy missed practice time the past couple weeks due to calf and ankle injuries.
"The good thing about this is he'll come back and should be 100 percent this week and just see where it goes," Fisher said.

You're the man freauxzen thanks for posting this. Not sure how I feel burning a waiver or Tre Mason now.

I'm avoiding Mason on the WW. Too crowded in that backfield.

Man WTF. So is Bryce Brown now the better pickup?

I believed Wisenhunt about Bishop Sankey a few weeks ago. Fortunately, I'm in a position where I can avoid the St Louis RB situation completely with Forte, Forsett, Morris and Hillman.

the last 2 games mason just looks like the better back, I think its his job. Loved stacy for helping me down the stretch last season, but I avoided him like the plague in all drafts this year. He was a product of volume, Mason is a legit talent.

THat's the tough part. Is he saying this to make Stacy feel better? Is he doing it to make the opponent prepare for two different type of backs? Is he trying to get create more drive in Stacy?
As a Stacy owner I don't feel safe dropping him, but I kind of need the space.

likely this

We don't know. All we know is Mason is trending up and Stacy is trending down. It's clear who the better runner is.

You're 100% right, but it looks like Fisher is committed to riding the hot hand. What happens if Stacy breaks off a 10 yard run in the 1st? I think he would see the bulk of carries which will be extremely frustrating if you own Cunningham/Mason

Stacy has to get into the game first
