Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Don't want any spoilers easily visible Blah blah blah.....
So............ there is a scene at 2:22/2:23 of the season 5 trailer that shows a van driving off an interstate over pass with a city skyline in the background... the skyline is easily recognized as Atlanta...
WTF? why are they back in Atlanta. Beth?

Perhaps to save Beth, they have to go into the city for some type of equipment.
I dunno. It's been made pretty clear that one does not simply go back into a huge city in the Walking Dead world. I look forward to lots of walkers though.

After watching that I still can't see how Ricks group teams up with the cannibals. Especially after they eat Bob.

Big cities = lots of people pre-ZA = a crap load of zombies.

They don't. They just took scenes from both episodes and meshed them together to make it look that way. Campfire scene, church scene, and terminus.

The only thing is Gareth is saying stuff about joining them to D.C. or am I hearing things?

They heard Freaknik was coming back.

This is correct. Ask yourself why would Rick's crew keep Gareth alive and you will come to an approximate conclusion.
Regarding the van scene, I would guess that it is related to the Beth story in some way. If you notice in the trailer at the 2:40 mark, you will see two vehicles with white medical crosses in the back windows parked in a hospital parking lot. A hospital that large would probably be located in the Atlanta vicinity.
