Trying to decide what to do this weekend. Go to the LSU/Ole Miss game, or go down fishing in Pierre Part for the weekend. Help me out

Football till halftime, then fish.

The older I get, the more my parking, tailgate options, options for dealing with traffic, and seats play a bigger role in determining if I would go to a game vs some other fun activity.

Sold my two in 302 for $50/ticket today. Fishing for trout and casting for shrimp instead.

It's also my youngest daughter's sweet 16 party that night too so the choice was made for me.

Unless I was given an opportunity to fish for a serious game fish I had never caught there is no way in hell I would give up a big Auburn game to fish.

That said, if I were to be offered a trip to fish for something exotic like roosterfish in the surf in Mexico or tarpon in Nicaragua, you can bet your arse I'll give up seeing an Auburn game.

I'm in southwest LA. The bite is on all the way from the gulf to the river. Big shrimp in big lake though.

Fish the game is on tv. Plus it'll get replayed many times over the next week.

Fish. All the way.

When you look back on this life you'll wish you'da had one more day fishing than one more day watching teenagers play football.

I was down there this past weekend. Caught about 10 10"-12" bass by the camp in Pigeon Saturday and 1 keeper down by 4 mile bayou on Sunday. It sucked. I did see a few people catching small Sacalait around 4 mile but looks like they were all getting tossed back. This summer has brought the suck. Here's to hoping next summer is better or I might start looking for a camp elsewhere.
ETA: the water is VERY LOW everywhere and from what I heard its on the rise and dirty in the spillway. I'm going to the game.
